Christmas

We are getting excited for our first Christmas with Harlow! Since she doesn't know the difference this year, I didn't want to go crazy with gifts but I did fill her stocking today. Mostly it's useful things I needed to buy anyway. She is just starting to get the hang of a sippy cup. I got a baby toothbrush for her, two (about to be four) teeth. Her hair is finally getting long enough to need a comb. She doesn't have any bath stuff that really bubbles up and finally, I couldn't resist getting an ugly doll since they were half off! I'll probably get them all out before Christmas but it was fun anyway!

All Girl

We put Harlow in this today for a little photo shoot. (I didn't buy it for the record, it was a gift) but she loved it. She loved wearing it and looking at it in the mirror. I might have a girly girl on my hands!

Stats

The 9 month stats are in: 21 lbs 9 oz (89%) and 28 in long (59%) (Although Mark was not sure the length was accurate because she was so wiggly/mad about being measured). She has a little attitude!

Thanksgiving

My dad's goal was to have the house ready by thanksgiving and he succeeded! It was a great gathering place for the family this weekend and the new kitchen definitely got broken in! Harlow loved thanksgiving, she ate turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, that girl loves to eat!

NINE MONTHS

Three quarters of a year, wow! I remember when I was doing my pediatric clinical rotation, the "9 month well checks" were my favorite because the babies were so much FUN at that age (plus they don't have to get shots at that visit). Well having my own 9 month old is even better. I love this age. New things this month are of course crawling (all over the place). She still only has two teeth. Mark said she is like an upside down rabbit because the two teeth on the bottom just keep getting bigger! I am excited to spend our first holiday season with her. My family will be here this weekend for thanksgiving so I had to get her a festive outfit. I hope also that the "aunts" approve because there is a tutu involved! She was hard to keep in the chair this month, so note the tag in her hand, it's the only way I could keep her happy. That girl loves tags...maybe she'll be a shopper!?

There was a little circle mirror I hung above her changing table and it fell down a while ago and she found it under her dresser:

Crawler

We've got a crawler and subsequently a whole new host of things to worry about her getting into!

Genius

Genius idea I got from Pinterest...roll food in baby cereal so they can pick it up without being all slippery. On the menu this morning, bananas rolled in baby oatmeal.
