Michigan Summers

We have now been to Michigan TWICE in the month of July. Harlow (along with her six month pregnant mom and dad with a broken/not broken ankle) survived the 4, 12 hour drives unscathed. We decided to drive later in the afternoon/night so Harlow was sleeping a lot of the time. It worked out well. We ate a lot of McDonald's.

The first trip we went up for my friend Marie's wedding. Harlow got to hang out with her Michigan "friends" ie my best friends kids. Then while we were at the wedding, she went to my family reunion with my parents. My extended family was happy to see her (she is the first baby on that side in a LONG time).

The second trip we went to my parents for a couple days. I was really hot out so we fired up the sprinkler, a first for Harlow but as you can see she loved it.
Then we went camping with Mark's family and extended family. It is a yearly tradition that they do and so much fun! Harlow slept in a tent, went swimming in the lake, and played endlessly with her cousins.

You just can't beat Michigan summers!

Summertime

Harlow is such a water baby! She loves the kiddie pool we've set up out back and she loves the "big pool" we take her to too. She is brave and runs right up to the fountains.

Don't mind the lens cap in every photo. She HAD to have it.

Gendar Reveal Outtakes

Here is the winning photo that we emailed to our family and then posted on Facebook:
Here are some of the un-edited outtakes and a couple that almost made the final cut. Thank you to my awesome husband for being behind the camera for this task!

Gotta love toddlers!

15 months!

15 month stats: We have a chunker on our hands, although the Dr. said her belly was "adorable", so I'm not too worried!
Height 30.75 cm (57%)
Weight 24 lb 7 oz (87%)
She has blossomed into a true toddler in the last few weeks. She is not a baby anymore :-(. Her personality is really showing, it is so much fun! She is determined and smart and stubborn too. She is also funny and goofy and happy as ever. She is starting to imitate things we do. We have been putting sunscreen on her and she has become obsessed with the sunscreen tube and (pretending) to put on the sunscreen on herself and everyone else. If you don't want a sunburnt chin, Harlow's your girl!

Pinterest project

This project cost $16 and I'm sure will last Harlow several years! It is an oil drip Pam from wal mart (auto section $12), Command strips to hang ($4) and the letter magnets were hand me downs. Next time I'll try to place it straight, haha, those Command strips don't budge once you commit!
