Harlow's first dance class

Harlow did a summer dance class so we could try it out and see how she liked it. She loved it and is very good at following directions. Unfortunately, you only get to watch (or take photos ;-) from outside the window with blinds. On the last day we all stopped for ice cream on the way home so that was the bribe to get these photos. The girl loves PINK!

2nd annual Ohio cousin meet up

We had a great time again this year. We found the most perfect park near the river like a mile away from the hotel. We braved the zoo this year too. It was rainy but luckily stopped in time for us to spend the whole morning there. Forgot how humid it can be in the midwest! Highlights included: Eli and his "tick tock" alligator, Joshua learning to skateboard, and Harlow and Natalie entertaining themselves with sticker and coloring books for hours! I am so glad that the kids can make these memories with their cousins.

Threenager

For every struggle to: get dressed, do her hair, eat vegetables, wear any shoe except the hello kitty ones, and go to sleep, there are equally as sweet and funny moments. Like when she calls McDonalds "Old McDonald" and says "stus" for stuff. When she tells us "that's not really my favorite", or right now she wants to do things FOUR times. It's always 8-9 o'clock to her on her watch. Somehow she thinks she is going to "grow up into a baby". For this photo she said "take my picture and then I can look at it". Then, OH, I look Sad!

TROUBLE

Violet lately

Violet is the same age Harlow was when Violet was born. CRAZY. The first pics are a mommy date we had one evening. The second were a family outing. It is HARD to get a pic of her lately.  She loves to say "self" and tries to even get dressed herself already. She always says "goo goo" (thank you). Her and Harlow are playing games together including one where Violet is a monster and she chases Harlow around saying "roar". She can show us her muscles and knows all the animal sounds. She has tons of words and keeps up with Harlow at the park climbing. She makes us laugh all day!

Ballet

Harlow is already SO excited for a dance class I signed her up for that is not until July. She keeps telling me her friends are going to be there and then names the kids in her preschool class (Silas, Noah, Finn and Lily). I hope she is not sad that they are likely to be there! She has been wearing her ballerina get up and practicing her moves. Of course lil sis has to wear ballet clothes too when Harlow does. I had to make these photos black and white to off set the two-toned/messy deck, we are working on it!

Easter

I'm only about a month behind with an Easter update! Our first easter celebration was when we were in Cali and Uncle Taylor and Aunt Sarah hid eggs at their place while we were out on an (early) morning walk. Harlow was so excited, and Violet even got in on the action and was beaming when she spotted one on the windowsill. I think after Violet drooled jelly bean all over their new home, they realized one jelly bean per egg would have been enough :-).

On actual Easter, we went to a friends easter brunch for more egg hunting. It was a gorgeous spring day.
