Harlow is 22 lbs 15 oz and 30 inches tall at her one year check up. 75% for both. I thought for sure she would be a little heavier than tall with that (adorable) belly of hers but alas, she is perfectly proportioned.
When I was 7 months pregnant with their first grandchild my parents bought a "project" a mile from our house but 700 miles from theirs. This blog chronicles the beginnings of their renovation and of the beginnings of our adventure into parenthood.

One year photo shoot

12 MONTHS!
Today is my sweet girl's birthday and I am so happy I took the day off to spend it with her. This month Harlow started saying "dada". She can give (big sloppy) kisses and wave. She seems to have NO interest in walking still but that's ok. She has six teeth and just enough hair for this little pony
tail!
One year really does go by fast! These photos were taken today. In a future post I want to put a collage of all 12 months. Also, a couple weeks ago I took some "one year" photos outside (but with her chair of course) and I'd like to post those too. But for now...I am too busy getting ready for Harlow's bunny birthday brunch!

almost one year old
And if the last post didn't give you your Harlow fix (mom), here is one of us eating breakfast in the kitchen with pajamas.
bedroom redo
Ok, this is not my parent's house in NC which is supposed to be the renovation subject of this blog. This is MY house in NC. I wanted to share how much of a difference some paint can make! When we first moved in, Mark was off bike racing and I was bored and painted the WHOLE room, including 5 doors, brown. Seriously the darkest brown the paint store would give me in eggshell. Well, I've been dreaming of a fresh, LIGHT, new color for a WHILE. I have a little less time these days (plus the aforementioned 5 doors + 6 windows) so we hired it out. Then I added a new bedspread, some art I already had around the house and voila! It is so bright in there that we have still been sleeping in the guest room. Ok, that will just be until we get some blinds!
