Kitchen

The new floor is in at my parents house so now the kitchen is 95% done! I can't do the 'official' after pictures yet because the 5% that is not done is the back splash and that would just be wrong. Here is a preview of the floor in the meantime.

baby's best friend

Burger feels the need to always be right near us especially if we are on the floor. Harlow is really paying attention to him now. She grabs at his fur and he doesn't mind one bit. He licks her face and she doesn't mind one bit. They are going to be good friends.

SIX months

Harlow is a half a year old! We had our 6 month checkup today and she is 18 pounds, 9 oz and almost 27 inches long (91st and 84th percentile).
This month taking the pic with the owl was a challenge. She is very grabby!
Other new developments this month are rolling over like crazy, sitting up, and one little tooth. There should be house updates soon since my dad is going to finish the kitchen (for the most part) next week while my mom babysits Harlow.

teddy bear

I was trying to recreate something from pinterest on a whim one day. It was a little girl on a bed facing a teddy bear that was about the size of her. I didn't work out too well. The lighting wasn't quite right, etc. But I am going to try again at some point with her navy blue outfit to match the blue bow on the bear. For now this is all I got.

beach

This week I had a "middle of the week weekend" and we headed to the beach. We have been to Myrtle Beach a few times before but not sure we had the "true" experience until this time when we visited a Calabash Buffet for dinner last night. There were SO many people there. In fact, a tour bus pulled up and was walking in RIGHT before us. We were like "oh no, now we are gonna have to wait forever". But, it didn't matter we got right in. The only issue was the "fry" line. It was a little crowded, but Mark managed to sneak at the end and grab some coconut shrimp. Now if you could get past the crowd (which we barely could and we went at five o'clock) the food and the CRAB was really really good. The rest of the trip was great too. Harlow went to the beach and went in the kiddie pool too. It was a little hot and sunny so we had to take a lot of breaks in our hotel room. During that time, Mark likes to watch the live coverage of the Olympics. Now don't get me wrong, I like to watch the Olympics, but I prefer the Primetime, edited version including all the sappy back stories. Mark on the other hand was enjoying archery, table tennis, and jujutsu. I was enjoying naps with Harlow. We had some great family time too like walking on the beach early in the morning where I took these pics of Harlow. It was a great trip! I got the idea for the "leg lean" pic from pinterest since Harlow can't quite sit up on her own yet.
