We have now been to Michigan TWICE in the month of July. Harlow (along with her six month pregnant mom and dad with a broken/not broken ankle) survived the 4, 12 hour drives unscathed. We decided to drive later in the afternoon/night so Harlow was sleeping a lot of the time. It worked out well. We ate a lot of McDonald's.
The first trip we went up for my friend Marie's wedding. Harlow got to hang out with her Michigan "friends" ie my best friends kids. Then while we were at the wedding, she went to my family reunion with my parents. My extended family was happy to see her (she is the first baby on that side in a LONG time).

The second trip we went to my parents for a couple days. I was really hot out so we fired up the sprinkler, a first for Harlow but as you can see she loved it.
Then we went camping with Mark's family and extended family. It is a
yearly tradition that they do and so much fun! Harlow slept in a tent,
went swimming in the lake, and played endlessly with her cousins.
